Elucence Moisture Benefits Shampoo, 10.1-Ounce (2-Pack)

I have been using Eluence MBC for over 15+ years and for the last few months I have not been able to order it off of Amazon any longer, and it looks like the website has discontinued the product as well. I sent an email to the company in hopes of receiving a response but no such luck. I really hope that this product makes a comeback :-(

So I bought this conditioner twice on Amazon. The 1st time it was sold by Sensation, and the 2nd time from Amazon. My hair is 3b low porosity medium density and thickness, and between armpit and bra-strap length. It loved this stuff. It moisturized and made it easy to detangle my hair. My problem is that the 2nd time I bought it, from a different seller, it was super watery. The consistency felt as though 1/3 of the bottle's content was replaced with water. I'm disappointed because I did like the conditioner, and I had no qualms with the product when I ordered it the first time, as the consistency was of a normal thickness. but that watery 2nd order made me suspicious of trying it again.

This is more like a leave in conditioner and less of a conditioner to me and if you used this product you understand why but on the bottle it did say that it doubles as a leave-in. Before using this product the state of my hair was terrible. My hair was dry like the scratch at the back of one's throat when one is in need for water. My hair was crunchy like straws and actually made a noise when you touch it. When I used other conditioners and other leave-ins, those other product did absolutely nothing because at the end of the day, my hair was dry scotching for moisture no matter what I did. Baby, when I used this product my hair drunk this conditioner up. Every time I added conditioner I didn't have any excess to wash out because my hair was absorbing it the product like water. Yes my hair was thirsty and was in desperate need for some good leave-in conditioning. This product showed me what a good leave-in conditioner should feel like. My hair needed hydration and this product definitely hydrated my hair. This product is the best leave in conditioner I've ever used. It detangled my hair to the point where my hair was detangled for two weeks, regardless of how many times I've changed my hairstyle I did not have to re-detangle my hair, that's how much this product detangled my hair. Sadly this have no glycerin. Some people like glycerin, others don't. I will just all glycerin and water and use it as the perfect leave-in conditioner.

This was a recommendation from naturally curly website. I have started using products with no silicones, glycerin, sulfates, or aloe as my hair turns to straw with those. It's been a long road but with a lot of research and much help from the naturally curly website, I am well on my way to soft, curly hair. I got this for a deep conditioner. It works pretty good for that. But I gotta say it works incredible for a leave in product. Makes my hair so soft! I have bought this twice now and plan on continuing to buy it here.

the best shampoo i've ever used, seriously. I am still using it and have about 1/4 left, which will probably last me all summer. The stuff is so concentrated, its crazy. I use about a dime to nickel size amount for each section of my hair (I wash my dense 4c high porosity hair in 4 sections) and it lathers up so much you would have thought I used a palm full. It smells wonderful and I can FEEL it cleaning my scalp and hair. I only have to massage my scalp for about 30 seconds, and I let the rest run down the shaft of my hair and I can tell the difference: it's clean but certainly not stripped. This shampoo does not have harmful sulfates in it. It has some naturally derived sulfates in it but nothing like SLS. I've been using it for months and it doesn't dry out my hair. Once my current conditioner is done, I will purchase the conditioner that goes with this and see if it improves my hair care regimen at all.

I am SO thankful that I found this conditioner! This is one of the few conditioners out there that doesn't contain 'cones OR glycerin, which is necessary for me as I follow the Curly Girl method and I live in an area that exceeds 90% humidity for the better part of the year. Humectants + humidity for my low porosity hair leads to an all out frizz fest. I use a quarter sized amount on my shoulder length 3A hair, and it leaves my curls bouncy, shiny, and incredibly healthy looking.I see that a few reviews for this product say this dried out their hair. This product is quite high in proteins, so to those that are protein sensitive, this product probably isn't for you. If you are unsure, an easy way to test for protein sensitivity is to take a small strand of hair that isn't easily visible, smother it in coconut oil or mayonnaise, and rinse it out in the shower. If that strand is brittle or dry afterward, you are likely protein sensitive.

So, Ive been eyeing this product for a while, but didn't want want to spend too much on shampoo and conditioner, especially with really thick curly hair (3B). But, then I decided to try Devacurl ONE Conditioner and that felt like I was using Suave. It did nothing for me and it didn't help with detangling. So I returned. Then I figured since I was willing to try Devacurl for $44, $20 for this Conditioner didn't sound too bad now. I decided to get both shampoo and conditioner and OMG this stuff is AMAZING!!!! I was able to finger detangling my hair like nothing with this conditioner (I did wash it with the shampoo as well). I hadn't combed my hair in 2 days so I knew it would be very tangled and my fingers just glide through like nothing. My hair feels so soft and looks so shiny and moisturized. I will continue to purchase this set. Extremely happy with purchase. Wish I would have just purchased these a long time ago when I was thinking about getting them. Glad I did now.
