I was concerned because I read some reviews that it has a tendency to burst open. I did find that the seams prevent it from being squeezed past a certain point, and that if I have more luck if I try to align my thumb so that it's not crossing any of the seams. But since my hands aren't very strong and I'm not in danger of squeezing it too hard for a while yet, this does what I need it to do.
