My house came with only one window screen and I have tried my hand at making them with the kits from home supply stores. I must be doing something wrong because they rarely stay together. The temperature is getting to be nice out and I'd much rather open the windows than turn on the air but don't get much air flow with only one open window. This screen seemed like a cost effective option, if it worked.Since I have cats and was concerned that they might push this screen out easily, I went ahead and tested one screen for about a week. My cats are indoor only, so it would be a very bad deal if they got out. I have used my screen in various rooms, with one of my cats often laying in the open window next to it. The screen is fairly snug and my cats have not been able to push it out. I think that the weight of the window holding it down might help. However, they have been almost successful in pushing out the one traditional screen I have.The window is held open a fair amount but there is a small gap where bugs could get in. They are not too attractive looking from the street, but for the price I'm not bothered.I am placing an order for these screens for all of my windows today.
