This Skar grille does not even work with their own SDR loaded sub boxes. I should have known it wouldn't fit when I had to bow it slightly into an oval to test fit it between the top and bottom lip of the SDR box prior to installation. Skar has mounted their SDR subs in a recessed ring on their SDR loaded boxes. This ring is smaller than it should be to accommodate this grille. Yes, you can force the rubber mounting ring into the recessed area, but then it is impossible to put the metal grille into the slot. Forcing the rubber ring it there causes the slot diameter to be too small for the metal grille. As others have mentioned, if Skar had flush-mounted the subwoofer instead of recess-mounted, this would have worked. Alternatively, Skar could have made the front of the box just 1/4-1/2 inch taller and the recessed mount area a little larger diameter and this grille would have worked.
