I installed this along our upper deck's railings to add more privacy and offer a bid of detail. It turned out well, surprisingly very easy to work with. I installed this doubled up (folded in half really). The end result is pretty much what I had hoped. I believe, at least in this application, that this would have to be doubled up in order to achieve the 90%+ light blockage that we desired; As a single layer, it was too see through. I used stainless steel staples to fasten, pulling and stretching along the way. 5 or so days latter, with some sun exposure, all the wrinkles that weren't stretched out are now completely gone. It took about 5 hours to cover 48 feet, including hanging led lights, installing trim boards and caulking. I'd recommend this product for someone looking to do a similar project as ours. After working with the product, I'd imagine using this for its intended purpose along a fence would be a breeze.
