It works exactly as stated. I found that I didn’t have much of a need for the pressure plate, as leaving the yogurt to strain removes enough whey on its own. The strainer fits yogurt made from about a half a gallon of milk with the caveat that I had to dump some of the whey out and let it strain for about an hour before I could put the rest of my batch in the container.
