My dog has thick fur and hates haircuts (she is 15 years old and is much more finicky in her older years) but this set of clippers was quiet enough to get her trimmed in one sitting. (It also did not heat up like some other sets I have tried.) She is also prone to matting in the creases of her legs and her paws, this clipper had no trouble with any of her problem areas and she seems much more comfortable with her "puppy cut". Would definitely recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Saved me a bunch of money versus going to the groomer! *by J***. on October 15, 2018* I really like this clipper for two reasons. One, it has a user accessible compartment to replace the battery if this one died, which is what happened to my last one. Second, it seems to have a stronger motor, maybe due to the battery difference, than my first one. It just cuts smoother and has more juice to get through the entire job without having to plug it in. If you do need to plug it in, it does work while plugged in. Which is great if you need to cut more than one pet at a time. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Money Saver! Great little tool *by K***. on October 26, 2018* I bought this after reading someone else's review that this was the only shaver that her dog would sit for. I have a small Shih Tzu that needs grooming at least once a month or she gets extremely matted. She hates the groomer, she hates brushes (their her mortal enemy), and scissors are apparently terrifying...not to mention going to the groomer costs an arm and a leg.I took a chance and she will actually sit and let me trim her with this!! Its quitter than other shavers and does not get too hot when using.
