Your glueing stuff together. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Machine for Small DIY Welding Jobs *by M***. on 28 September 2025* This compact welding machine arrived in a sturdy cardboard box. As well as the welder the case also contains a chipping hammer/wire brush, 5 welding rods and instructions for use. There is no safety equipment supplied (e.g. gloves, welding mask etc.) so you will have to source your own as this equipment is vital when welding. As well as basic arc welding the machine is capable of Lift TIG welding but the torch to do this must be purchased separately. It’s small enough to be easily portable. The 3pin UK plug lead is 120cm long and the earth and electrode leads are both 150cm. The display is clear enough to be seen without raising my auto darkening helmet and it’s easy to see which mode you’re in and what amperage you’re using. A very useful feature for beginners (like me) is that as the amperage is changed there is also a metal thickness indicator that changes with it making it easy to set the correct power for the job in hand (see video). The main power switch on the back switches the machine on. The fan keeps running for a while after the machine is switched off to cool it down. I’ve done a little bit of arc welding in the past but I’m really a novice and so far I’ve only used this to do some small repairs on metal gates and a couple of spot welds. I found the machine simple and easy to use and the results were good. I’m sure a professional welder would regard this machine as not much more than a toy but for small DIY tasks and spot welds it does a very good job.
