Just be sure to remove and clean it from time to time. I left mine on for over a year while using daily and rinsing the Aeropress. I recently removed the cap and there was mold around the inside rim in the silicone. I washed and scrubbed most of it off and then soaked overnight with a hydrogen peroxide solution. There’s still a tiny stain embedded in the surface.
