The problem was usually a very inaccurate heart rate monitor. I didn't expect much from this FR 45, but I've been very pleasantly surprised. The heart rate monitor is very accurate, and it's 97% accurate measuring distances for runs and bike rides. It's not a smart watch and it doesn't have a touch screen, but it has a few smart features (it notifies you of texts and phone calls, and can show the weather and calendar events.) It doesn't try to duplicate the functions of your phone, and it delivers on all its promises.Pros: designed for activity tracking, and it does that better than any other wearable I tried; reasonable price; the buttons let you access functions without looking at the watch, for example, through a shirt sleeve; loud audio notifications for timers, etc.; excellent battery lifeCons: each of the 5 buttons has a different function for a quick press and a long press, and it takes a while to memorize how to navigate between functions. The interface isn't as intuitive as a smart watch, and it often takes several button presses to access the screen you want.
