**Q: Is this roller for cutting fettuccine or pappardelle? I'm looking for fettuccine, about ¼" wide.**
A: model number 86/TL is for fettuccine and 86/P is for pappardelle.

**Q: What is the width of the noodles?**
A: 1/4 inch

**Q: how thick is it ?**
A: It is fettuccine width.  You do need to put a little pressure to get it to cut, but I am very satisfied with the product.

**Q: How long is it?**
A: Mine is about 12 1/2" long.

I bought it for cookie dough, but it will be good for making homemade noodles, as well.

This tool is designed to score the dough that has been rolled out so that you can pick up the piece and pull apart the the dough easily and then drape it for drying or drop it in the pot (or into a container for freezing). This is not a tool for cutting the dough and, it appears to me, that most of the negative reviews are from individuals who are expecting it to do what it is not designed to do. Look at a video of Italian ladies using one of these tools to see how it works. This is exactly what I wanted to take my pasta making to the next level. I was tired of using my pizza wheel to slice slice slice. With this, my noodles are uniform and very pretty. It has nothing to do with the taste and everything to do with the aesthetics in my kitchen. I am very pleased, and my 8-year-old son is excited for lunch time today.Please know what you are getting when you purchase this item. There are all different kinds of rolling pins designed to score or shape the dough. This one is perfect for my own kitchen and I am sure that I will probably be using it every week, except when I am on a diet.I have been debating about Christmas gifts this year and what to give. I am seriously thinking that jars of beautiful homemade egg noodles would be very welcome by many of my loved ones.EDIT: I added photos to better demonstrate how this works. For me, it's a total win and I love it. I would absolutely buy this again if a pasta thief ran away with it.
