For everyday use, a scissor sharpener i ok. **Q: Where are these scissor made?** A: The last time I bought this product, it was Veteran made, here in the U.S. I would hope it still is. I'm surprised I don't see the same information , since in my opinion, it's a great selling point. I've noticed, Amazon has removed alot of that kind of information from it's listing. I bought this product, and would buy again. **Q: How do these stand up to rust or corrosion (particularly saltwater)?** A: I haven't used it in saltwater, sorry, but it does not corrode in regular water. **Q: Will this product cut open a heavy weight bag of food?** A: Yes, but I would NEVER use a pair of dressmaker shears to cut anything but cloth. Cutting other things, like plastic coated bags, cardboard, paper, ... will RUIN them for fabric.
