I wore them n warm weather and it wasn't too hot. It's got knee pads and also hip pads. I thought the price was really low and I like the quality. Inner mesh liner helps with comfort. Plenty of pockets, but not hip pockets, just front and side pockets (4 total). I got the white color so they are cool in the warm and hot weather. The fit is almost perfect, fits about true to size and also you can adjust it wit the velcro straps. Has 2 air vents in the front, too.
