It’s a soft red ball, the same size as black peppercorns. Not suitable for a pepper mill. I quite like the delicate flavour. I chop it up on a cutting board and use it as a finishing dressing. A quick toasting on a hot cast iron pan livens its aroma. Will try and alcohol infusion with it or steep it as a tea to see what I can use it for. I have also purchased white peppercorns to make custom ratios with other peppercorns. I use a lot of pepper in my culinary creations. Controlled application can make a difference in a great flavour profile. Since it comes from a tree nut plant, those with allergies should exercise caution. Very happy with this purchase.
