Very fast, very well made, but they do get hot. The metal enclosure does a good job of shedding the heat from the chips but it does get hot to the touch especially on writes. It's common to see sustained reads and writes 400+ MBPS and will absolutely hit the advertised speeds for bursts especially with big files. (I have gotten 900+ MBPS on read occasionally with the smaller drive with large files on USBC).
