Review: Since I am super sensitive to smells, I was worried about using this product on the inside air handler coils, as it does have a faint fragrance. I used 1 part cleaner to 2 parts water, rinsed it well with a garden hose, only turned on 1/3 (also had a wet vac standing by, in case the drain was overwhelmed, which it didn't), and after it fully dried, there was no smell. Update: After a couple of 100F days, I can report that the system is notably more efficient (the air is colder) after the cleaning, it had been 10 yrs since last cleaning. And there is no smell in house when it runs, if anything, it smells cleaner. This is made for the outdoor AC condenser coils. They DO make one specifically for the evaporator (usually indoors) coils. It's listed near the bottom of the page in the 'comparisons' section. I'd go with that for the evaporator. **Q: Does Coil Safe dissolve hair and dust on the evaporator coil?** A: Coil Safe is not formulated to dissolve hair or dust on an evaporator coil. Evaporator coils are indoors and therefore, the chemicals used on evaporator coils must be safe and not corrosive. Over time, indoor coils will get a buildup of greasy grime. Coil safe is formulated to break down that buildup so it self-rinses off the coil as the liquid drains off the coil. A soft brush or toothbrush can be used to loosen and wipe off very heavy buildup. **Q: can this be used in condensate drain lines** A: COIL SAFE is not a condensate pan drain opener.
