For the latter I sanded it down roughly to shape, filled in gaps with caulk, and intend to simply layer on some plaster or polyfill and then paint over the top. The only thing which got me was that when it's wet, the stuff is very sticky. I wasn't initially sure whether it was trimmable when completely dry or I had to scrape excess off while still setting, and when I tried to scrape excess off with a putty knife before it finished setting, it stuck to the tool in such a way that nothing could remove it and then caused sufficient damage to make me throw the putty knife out. Strictly Use Hand Gloves and place some old news paper sheets underneath when using. because it spills all over and it is not easy to clean. Direction for use: Use a little and wait till it expands very well , and then reapply if required.
