I chose this over another brand because of the cable inputs - they’re on the bottom. I didn’t want cables sticking out the side. The control button on the side provides easy access to menu items. The information it provides and features are invaluable. Just wish Canon made it so one could still have the camera LCD functionality while using an external monitor. Fortunately, whenever I need to make changes to the camera settings I only have to turn off the external monitor (not unplug it) for the camera LCD to come back on. The biggest plus for me is getting clearer shots and better color. This monitor is a great size plus the pop up sun shade helps protect the monitor when not in use and can stay on the monitor (unlike the rigid ones that become just one more thing to haul around).
