**Q: Is this good to use as an actual flashlight, or is it more of a novelty item for fun indoors? I hope to use it for trick or treating.**
A: This is more of a novelty item.  You would be better off with an actual flashlight for trick or treating.

**Q: Is the keychain removable?**
A: Yes it is

**Q: What about this causes the "manufacturer recommended age 13 yrs and up"?  i'd like to give this to 6-8 year old boys.**
A: I don’t know. I gave it to my 5 year old grandson for Christmas and he LOVED it.

**Q: how well does this work with the lights on?**
A: Of course with lights on the image will not be as prominent.
