The company had advertised it was dishwasher ... *by S***N on March 25, 2015* The frying pan came in scratched with dust all over it. I returned it. It cannot be put in dishwasher. I own another Fissler fry pan and really enjoy it. The company had advertised it was dishwasher safe but when I wrote to them asking if this was true, because their literature said "hand wash only" they apologized and said it was not dishwasher safe. Nonetheless, I love their nonstick fry pans. If this wasn't damaged, I would have enjoyed it I am sure. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Good Idea- Poor Quality *by R***D on April 19, 2012* I really liked the idea of this pan. It's supposed to be a relatively healthy nonstick pan to cook on and was great for making eggs. The pan functioned well for about 1 year (maybe used it 20 times) but after a year the handle became loose and eventually fell off last week. I'll contact fissler customer service this week. If it goes well I'll improve the rating while if it goes bad I'll drop the rating. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nonstick coating works as advertised, but doesn't retain heat *by R***. on December 16, 2009* The nonstick coating works as advertised. It's possibly not quite as nonstick as the best Teflon coatings but then again, the Teflon coatings contain a poisonous chemical that is showing up in the cord blood of newborns even though DuPont swears that it cannot migrate out of the pan. It's definitely slick enough for the omelettes I cook in it.The only thing that keeps me from giving this pan a five-star rating, other than the fact that it's expensive, is that the coating seems to be a bit of an insulator, which makes sense because it contains ceramic, which is an insulator. In other words, it takes a bit longer for the pan to heat up and the food to cook than our previous Teflon pans, and when you shut off the heat the food stops cooking fairly quickly. I can accept these minor drawbacks to avoid the cancerous chemical in Teflon.
