I have tried both the clear and the matte screen protectors on all four devices. As far as brands go, this is one is not too bad, but there are better brands out there. Tech Armor is one of the best. There are still problems getting these screen protectors on without bubbles and especially little micro fibers getting underneath during the process. This is not the manufacturers fault but it is still irritating. I usually end up using two to three screen protectors each time before I can get them right, and obviously I have done this a few times. There videos are great, but you still have to do it a few times before you can get it right.Now on to the actual product review. Like I said, I have tried both the clear and the matte finishes on both the 5th gen iPod touch with retina and the 1st gen iPad Mini without retina. The clear screen protectors give you the best picture, but picks up fingerprints and glare just as bad as the screen without anything. The matte screen protector does a good job against glare, but it does mess with the retina display pretty bad, and is still not all that great even without the retina. Also, the matte does not pick up fingerprints, but what is does is it gets cloudy from the skin off your fingers which can end up making your screen look cloudy, and it is tougher to wipe off than the clear screen protectors.Overall, in my opinion, they are both decent products, but not great as they both have their shortcomings. I think maybe what I will try next is the Ballistic Glass that Tech Armor offers. Unfortunately it is much more expensive, like $30 each instead of $7 for three. Maybe some time in the future I will splurge. I still think Tech Armor is among the best out there though. Halo comes in a close second in my opinion. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Anti Glare screen protector is terrible but the clear version is great *by W***U on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on December 4, 2012* Review after 10 days:The prior Anti-Glare screen protector gives you not just a little pixelation, but it's really distracting and decreasing your screen clarification at least 10 times. However, this seller is very responsive and nice enough to send a sample of their clear version of the protector, which works great. 5 stars for the customer service!!!___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________I've had 3 different types of screen protector before this one and finally encountered the worst one I think I'll ever use. The protector came in a nice envelop packaging, which is very nice and clearn, however, as I start applying it to my device, multiple problems occurred. When I tried to pull the paper tip of the top layer to completely make the screen protector to stick to itouch, the entire screen protector got lifted!!! It just shows how bad the bottom surface was made, with such a bad suction that has never happened to any of my prior 3 screen protectors. In fact, they were so hard to getting off when I tried to re-do from step 1. However this is not the worst issue, as long as I the screen protector is functional and normal I would be satisfied. However I was very disappointed and shocked as I pealed off the top layer, I turned on the screen and OMG I can't even see things clearly on my itouch! Everything become 10X blurry. The device has retina display, and this screen protector made look like the old 20s TV screen with millions of tiniest color pixel/cubes crowding across the entire surface, distracting and hurting whatever that's looking at it. Believe me, I had to move my itouch away after 5 sec since my eyes couldn't take it anymore, I feel I've given poison to my eyes.Usually I'm not very picky about the product as long as it's functional I don't care how complicate the steps are, but this screen protector is clearly the worst I have encountered. It is just my personal opinion based on personal experience. And a little validation for others who have had a similar experience.I recently bought a new iPod 5G. I went through 4 packages of screen protectors trying to achieve perfection and failed. I'm a pretty fussy character when it comes to things like this. When a package of protectors for my iPad mini arrived in the mail, I just tossed it, unopened. The heck with it.I think a perfect application is probably possible, *if* you have small, agile steady hands, and *if* you also have wondrous hand-eye coordination, and *if* you have access to a relatively dust free facility, like an industrial clean room, and *if* you aren't dealing with much static electricity, and/or *if* you are very lucky, well then, you *might* get one of these screen protectors to fit perfectly, no bubbles, no dust.For the rest of us, I think a perfect application is only a theoretical possibility. I do assume there are perfectly applied screen protectors out there, but I think there are a lot more applied imperfectly by people who decided they could live with a few dust motes trapped in bubbles. And I think there are probably a whole lot more that just ended up in the trash.I think the real answer is screen protectors applied by Apple as an option at the factory.But you know what? I used an iPod touch 4G with no screen protector for more than a year and I got only one, small, faint, hardly noticeable unremovable blemish on the screen. And by the time I discovered it, it no longer mattered if to me if my iPod was factory perfect. I never noticed it after I first discovered it. And I replaced it anyway with a 5G iPod.
