Easy to hold and keep the angle right. Put the bar in a vice and rotate the chain as you work. Use a magic marker on one of the teeth to know where you started then move around the other side to sharpen the other side of the chain. Pretty fool proof and you'll get better after a few chains. Rotate the files once in a few chains to work a different surface of the file.
