It performs exactly as advertised.Now, try getting your cat to drink out of it. My cat Sparky would sooner fight the neighborhood bulldog in a steel cage-match than take a single sip from this fountain. Again, the fountain is perfect in every way. I have tried everything to get him to drink, including lapping the water up myself in front of him and offering family members $5.00 if they could get him to take a single sip. Nothing doing! It would be easier for me to walk to Argentina than to get him to drink out of the fountain.I like the fountain so much, however, that I keep it continually running. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Semai Pet Fountain *by D***C on Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2018* I ordered the Semai Pet Fountain (and filters) for my boy cat. I don't think he drinks enough water. The pet fountain was very easy to put together and the instructions were easy to follow. The pump is very quiet. If not for the trickle of the water, you wouldn't know it was running. So far my boy cat is scared of the fountain. He is, in general a scaredy cat. He hasn't figured out that the fountain is for him and that he can drink from it. He sniffs at it but doesn't drink, yet. But I am hoping he'll get over his fear. Just rinse the filter before placing it into the fountain. I have two thirsty cats.
