I decided to get these reusable filters instead of throwing away endless paper ones. My husband works in the coffee business so we are not inexperienced in how to use these items. Perhaps we got a batch that were slightly off in manufacturing, this isn't the first time we've bought them, this was a replacement for our last one that wore out. While the end result does work, they create far too much vacuum effect. My husband has to use a good deal of muscle to push down and get past the vacuum air pocket that is created to have a slow drip release. None of the other filters we used in the past had this issue. Every time I use it I'm reminded what a pain in the you know what it has become so I will now look for a more thoroughly reviewed source. I am glad to see ours is an exception and not the rule. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Product for Less Money *by K***R on Reviewed in the United States on November 24, 2018* I have been using my Aeropress coffee maker for a few years now. I like these metal filters b/c they are more durable. My coffee is stronger, it filters well and they are really easy to clean. These are great for the price and I will continue to buy them. ### ⭐⭐ They don't not work... *by Y***T on Reviewed in the United States on March 9, 2019* You put it in the Aeropress, press it down, coffee comes out.Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like the coffee is more bitter than with the paper filters because those absorb some of the oils. Also, some of the grinds stick to the filter and you have to wipe them off somehow or just rinse them into your sink. And most importantly, you don't get as much of a satisfying thunk from ejecting the puck of grinds after you squash it down.
