OURJOB customer service team **Q: Would this detect R290 Refrigerant Gas?** A: You need to look at the gas flammability limits for R290 which are: lower limit of 2.1% by vol & higher limit of 9.5% by vol. This device is set for detecting limits of lower limit of 5% & higher limit of 15% by vol, so this device will not be suitable, look foe a device that detects Propane. **Q: Purchased this detector for small campervan - but instructions (inside box) says 'Not suitable for boats caravans where different standards apply ?** A: I use one (alongside carbon monoxide detectors) and keep it permanently plugged in as it draws very little electricity. I can’t remember without seeing the full instructions but I believe it means it’s not suitable as your whole defence. It will detect gas (make sure you place it appropriately and as per instructions as some gases rise and others stay lower) and go off but get two, always keep ventilated and you’ll be much safer than you were.
