Most RV's will have the gas supply line for the hose connection after the regulator and will not need another one. However, if your RV is not pre-equiped with a gas supply line and you are connecting directly to the propane tank then yes you will need a regulator in between the tank and bbq. **Q: Require 1"x20 male throwaway thread on opposite end of hose from 1/4" quick connect. photo of item shows female fitting.
