Good fit and easy to install on rear glass door of Leer truck camper shell.I picked the ones that matched the specs of the old ones but these feel much stronger. I probably could have gone with a lighter weight rating and shorter strut but decided not to experiment.

To remove I used a flat head screwdriver and pryed one end of the metal retention clip out and gave the old strut a little tug and off it came. Instal was easier yet, just pressed them on and they locked in place (no need to pry on the retention clip).

Replaced failed Leer truck cap struts. Perfect fit and work like new.UPDATE: Jan 2023. Bought October 2019 and they started to lose full extension lift last July and completely failed last month. I open my cap about 1 or 2 times a week which is less than rigorous use. I expected more than 3 years lifespan. I DON'T RECOMMEND THESE STRUTS DUE TO SHORT LIFESPAN.

I have a Leer shell for my Toyota Tacoma. These were super easy to install and a great price.

The factory original Suspa struts on my Leer Shell were pretty weak and would not lift the gate unless I helped and more than once got close to smacking me in the head if I wasn't careful.Using the C16-06389 marked on the struts I found these. Even though a bit more $$$ than the Suspa model, I opted for these based on the good reviews. I was also leery of the Suspa struts based on their less than stellar reviews on longevity.Easy to replace (took 10 minutes tops for both) and WOW...so much stronger! No more possibly getting bopped in the noggin and easily lifts the gate fully open and keeps it up. It had been awhile but I really don't recall the original struts ever being this strong. I hope they last!

Part number unrecognized. No logos or I'd on struts. Ordered door and glass struts but shipped separate (really need door) and could only assume by size and shipping notification. Pleased to see sockets pre-lubed. Installed without problems.

These are slightly longer than the original struts but fit fine. The lid opens just past vertical now. The only concern I have is the ends are loose and don't feel like they will last. I will update the review should they break. They snapped over the existing ball studs, installation required no tools and took less than a minute. Make sure you install them with the shaft on the bottom and cylinder on the top so the oil charge in the cylinder can reach the shaft seals. They will fail quickly if you don't install them right(this goes for almost any similar style strut.

Just what was needed to repair my old truck canopy. It took longer to find the correct model than it did to install them. They work like a charm. Don't know why I waited to replace to old worn out ones.
