Returned for exchange. Second one was defective, too. *by J***E on January 23, 2020* Do yourself a humongous favor. If you're thinking about buying this screen as a replacement for your ASUS laptop (or for whatever other laptops this might be compatible, take my advice. Don't. While the price is among the better ones that you'll see here on Amazon for a replacement laptop screen (I have an ASUS X540LA that I was buying it for), sometimes you get what you pay for. In fact, that's more often the case than not. The first screen I promptly installed and found that it had a prominent dead pixel within the visible field. I tried a couple of "pixel healer," "stuck pixel" utilities and neither was able to remedy that little bright white dead pixel sitting there on my screen of black. Amazon, thankfully, made it easy to exchange, and I had another one on my doorstep within days. Unfortunately, the replacement *also* had another dead pixel in the visible field, not in the exact same location, but in a nearby location compared to the first. I instantly arranged for the return and will not be buying any laptop screens from TechOrbits again, as it appears that they have crap quality control and need to address that and on the pronto.
