    If your employer uses G.R.E.A.T selling then this book has some value otherwise if you've been selling for long it doesn't.

This book details a "New" selling method called GREAT selling.  Greeting, Researching, Experimenting, Add-ons and Tethering.  It is used by a number of retailers including the one I work for.  It is based upon the personal experiences of the authors.I found it quite juvenile compared to other selling courses and books I own.  The most disturbing aspect of the recommended solutions in the book is the concept of "Don't sell them what they don't need, but sell them everything because they need it."  This is a paradox that I find inappropriate in any selling environment.  It is destined to create buyers remorse and returns.  I prefer to identify honest needs and wants and help the customer select the best product to address these needs.The concept of developing a repeat customer and developing a service mindset are good.  The overall value of the text was limited to me, but since the retailer I work for uses their methods I wanted to understand the method better and I bought this book to help me do this.

Easy language to read and to understand.  The only thing I would suggest is to slow down.  Sometimes we all read to fast for good retention.  Do not just read this book.  This is a good book but combine it with others is the best way.
