Women's Sophia Australian Merino Sheepskin Soft-Sole Slippers

These slippers are beautiful, well-made, and luxuriously comfortable--everything I expect from a genuine shearling slipper! They are really a five-star product, but the sizing is crazy. I usually wear a woman's size 10. I ordered my size based on other reviews saying they "fit perfectly." The 10 turned out to be so huge, I was stepping out of it. The company is really great about returns. It was so simple and my return was processed very promptly--no complaints! However, even the size 9 is a bit large. If they came in half-sizes, I would without question take an 8 1/2, which is the size I wear in a MAN'S shoe! So, basically, the woman's sizing is not any different from men's sizing. It's wacky. I could probably wear the 8, but will stick with the loose fit of the 9 to be safe.Another point for the benefit of other potential purchasers: if you object to the wild animal fur trade, this is not your company. I assumed (my fault) that they dealt solely in sheepskin, but learned upon receiving their catalog that they also sell wild-trapped furs (fox, mink, coyote). Ironically, they send a card with the slippers stating about the sheepskin that "As a by-product of the food and wool industries, it does not threaten any species. By using sheepskin for footwear, we are recycling this valuable natural resource." Fine, but I personally find it a little hypocritical for them to play the humane "sustainability" card and then turn around and sell a fox-trimmed overcoat or a mink poncho. (If someone is eating the fox meat, I will stand corrected, but the fur of wild predators is normally just a straight-up product of the fur trapping industry.) I mention this as an FYI to anyone else for whom this might be an ethical concern.

These slippers are absolutely beautiful and constructed well. The quality is top notch. After reading the reviews, decided to order a size down and they fit great on my wide bunion feet. Super soft and comfortable and they even slip a little in the heel when I walk. Even though there is no arch support, the design of the slipper gives them a nice hold on your foot so it sort of simulates that there's an arch and it does give "some" support. The sole is firm and must have something significant inside because it is not a flimsy slipper. So happy with this purchase. Packaged very nicely, the paper inside the box was not bent, torn or off center. They came with firm insets to help them hold their shape in the box for a classy presentation complete with Thank You note and full color catalog. Definitely recommend. And LOVE the color!!(Normally size 11, ordered a 10)

This slipper is made of beautiful soft leather and lined with luxurious sheepskin. The slipper is very well made and a perfect fit. I have spent time looking for a soft sole and I love these!

First thing I noticed was there is nothing on the bottom of this slipper except suede. If you live in an apartment and wall to wall thick carpet, I suppose you won't care. I live not on carpet. I also live not in an apartment in some suburb or city. I live in the country where I may occasionally walk outdoors for a minute in my slippers. But not in these with no cushioning or protections from moisture on the bottom. Next, they are flimsy and have been cut way too long and loose. Not true to size at all. And i took someones advice and ordered one size down from my normal size. Needless to say these went straight back.

I slipped them on and was in heaven. They are very well made and keep your feet very warm.

I had a pair 30 years ago... finally found the company again! Love these slippers. I’ll wear these all year around. My feet don’t sweat even during the summer!

I found these slippers to fit perfectly. Anyone who complains about the sole not being sturdy enough to wear outside didn’t look at the pictures. It’s obvious that they have a leather sole. What’s more, they don’t slip on hardwood floors. I walk from soft carpet to hardwood all day long in these slippers, and they have a very good grip on all my flooring. They are comfortable and keep my feet warm without getting sweaty. I love these slippers.

These fit ok but were bulkier than I was expecting, and I found the stitched seams to be very scratchy on my feet. Too irritating to walk in, so I had to return them.
