It cuts nicely, doesn't snag or run when cutting and stapling, is incredibly sonically transparent, and you can't see through it at all. My darn cats have climbed up and down them a few times and I don't have any snags from their claws. I posted about the actual performance and build of my acoustic panels on Gearspace (look up fluffy r30 broadband absorption and go to the third page if you want to geek out on design and performance). I have also used Vintage Poly Burlap for acoustic panels, which is a bit less durable, tends to snag when stapling (or due to cat claws) and isn't quite as sonically transparent. This Guilford of Maine stuff is better, and the prices reflect that. It's a fair price though -- I haven't seen any better deals for normal prices. Quality fabric that looks great! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great material- inexpensive, durable, and odorless *by C***G on October 7, 2025* Great material. If making acoustic baffles be careful screwing or drilling through it, the bit/screw will grab a thread and tug it pretty quick, ruining the weave for the entire row. It's pretty tough on cutting edges as well, dulls scissors and utility blades fast. But I suppose both things are true for all coarse-weave materials.
