Beautiful build ice cream maker that produces whatever sort of ice cream you want
This ice cream maker is easy to use and is almost as good as ice cream makers costing a many more times it's price. Ok, it doesn't have gimmicky bells and whistles, but it is completely no nonsense. The paddle is plastic, but it is more than suitable for purpose. I managed to get another one so I could produce larger amounts of ice cream at a time. The quality of the ice cream when set is easily as good as premium ice creams that cost a fortune (depending on what you use). If you have a family, and think £3+ per cone is a little too steep to buy from an ice cream van, this is certainly a great candidate to be a firm favourite with the kids. It will produce about a litre of ice cream at a time, and takes about an hour. It gives 10 beeps when finished. No need to pre-chill any bowls in the freezer overnight as this little beastie has it's own compressor built in.

Works a treat. Knocked a star of poor instructions and noise.
It does what it is supposed to.....make good ice cream. Can't fault it on that at all. I would have given it 5 stars but for a couple of things.1. It's noisy. There's no getting around that, but on the other hand I don't know if ice cream makers are generally noisy beasts, so maybe I'm being a bit unfair.2. The instructions are rubbish. So bad it makes you wonder if they were written by someone who hadn't actually used the machine. :-) Here's my simple commensense guide. Whizz up your fruit in a blender to the consistency you want. Add cream and milk, stir and add to the freezing pot. Put the machine on the ice cream mode (not mixing, not freezing), and leave for 30 or so minutes. Tra la! Super ice cream with no nasty additives.

Easy and Quick Ice Cream
I’m delighted with this ice cream maker mainly because it freezes as it churns so you can make several batches of different flavours in one afternoon, other types of maker require you to freeze the pot so have to refreeze it between batches. The machine is quite heavy so so bear that in mind when deciding where to store it and a bit noisy when it is operating but you can make a batch in 40 mins. I was worried that the batch size might be too small but 1 litre is perfect, it is at least four servings, and leftovers can be kept in the freezer. The recipe leaflet is very basic but there are good recipes in books and on the internet

Impressed so far!
Gave this to my husband for his birthday and so far we've made 2 batches of the caramel and choc ice cream which is one of the 3 recipes which come with the machine. Really lovely flavour and perfect texture. Instructions are not clear but we sussed it out. First time round when we added the choc halfway through we couldn't get the machine to start again but user error - hubby had put the lid back on the wrong way round! As others have noted you only need to select the far right option to make ice cream. Other options are superfluous. The ice cream setting does the mixing too. Took half an hour in the machine then put in freezer to firm up (decanted into a larger clover tub!). Bowl and stirrer are easy to clean and return to machine. Now need to find a recipe book of more flavours to try!

Poor Aftersales Support
This ice cream maker is very good. It is easy to use once you work out how - the instructions included with it however are not at all clear. I relied on reading another review on Amazon which explained how to use the ice cream maker. It does make nice ice cream but, be warned, the after sales support from the company who make this appliance is poor.We accidentally mislaid the detachable paddle when cleaning (completely our fault but easily done!). When we approached the company to purchase a replacement paddle we were told they don’t stock spares and couldn’t help! We now have an ice cream maker that cannot be used after only one year. What a waste of money. Had we known that you could not get replacement parts we would have bought another brand of ice cream maker.

Instructions
Instructions are not very clear. Do you have to put it on freeze then on ice cream or just ice cream on which it will still freeze ??????Ice cream very cold and does not stay frozen.

If you love ice cream, you'll love this machine
I like healthy ice creams and frozen yoghurts, which quite often are very expensive (£4-5 per tub), so have considered ice cream maker for a long time - however due to cost, never bought one until now.Spotted this machine £149.99 and good reviews, so I thought it's worth to finally pull the trigger - it would pay for itself within 12-18 months. I'm so glad I did - this machine is excellent, in just 60 minutes you get soft scoop consistency ice creams, sorbets, gelatos and frozen yoghurts - you are only limited by your imagination. There are 3 simple recipes with the machine, but it's very easy to find lots of recipes (healthy too) on the internet or in the books.I've used it for 1 months, around 15 times and got excellent results every time. Machine has a compressor, so it is a little bit noisy, but not overly, and if I'm ever bothere I put it in a spare room or utility.Recommended!
