Both editions, i.e. the full and the Basic versions, are excellent books, that lay out clearly the main principles of the different topics and test your understanding of what you've read with progressive exercises. The two versions of Engineering Mathematics are suitable for any mathematics course even though the titles might mislead you to view them as suitable only for engineering students. The two versions of Engineering Mathematics are suitable for any mathematics course even though the titles might mislead you to view them as suitable only for engineering students. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fab for BTEC Students *by S***K on 14 August 2021* A great book fair all the necessary course work and assignments up to BTEC Level 3. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommended for National Diploma in Engineering and other pre-degree studies *by B***O on 25 May 2010* Having worked through every example in this book, from cover to cover, I can say that this book is brilliant for a BTEC National level 3 in engineering, infact it is the most important text any student studying this course can buy. I disagree with another review which portrays the book as a university level text, as it is not. The book covers all of the mathematics required for the National (1st and 2nd year) as well as covering some of the basics of 1st semester undergrate mathematics for engineering. I would give this book 5 stars, however, in some cases there are typos, and miscalculations in both worked and non-worked examples, and also the final question Integration by algebraic substitution for example, seems that it can't be solved.
