I was told that GE would locate a service tech and respond in 48 hours. Three days later, again, I was the one to call for status update. This time I was told that no one could service this unit and the claim was submitted for replacement--I was told I would hear back in 24 hrs. No surprise it was 7 days before I was able to get further information. The review was approved and I was given a model number to verify would work for replacement. Measurements were correct so I was told replacement would be sent. Three days later I was contacted and told that the unit could not be replaced because no one was able to deliver it to our area. Shocked by this since I am 10 miles from GE warehouse. Finally, 20 days after the initial call I was told to submit purchase invoice and GE would refund purchases price. That procedure was started yesterday, lets see how long GE takes to respond.
