Maxim 10129WSOI Basix Wilshire Glass Chandelier, 15-Light 900 Watts, 40"H x 42"W, Oil-Rubbed Bronze

I purchased this with much hesitation because I needed it for a very large foyer and I wanted it for in front of a huge bay window in my newly built house. For only $441 I was very skeptical. However, it is HUGE and spectacular. I arrived via special truck delivery (so you have to be home to sign for it). It's 58lbs. and absolutely beautiful. With 15 40w bulbs (we could have used up to 60w but decided that would be too much) you can see the chandelier from down the street! No one believes I got it for $441 (including tax and shipping!!!)I can't say enough how happy I am.(Unless you live in a large home with very high ceilings, this wouldn't work for a dining room--it's definitely better suited to a foyer or area with cathedral ceilings).

Purchased this chandelier to place in a 2-story foyer in our home. Since we are not planning to be in the home for more than 10 years, I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that we were going to have to leave behind. I got it on sale for approximately $250, which was a great deal. The fixture is big and fits the large place well. We put in energy efficient bulbs and it provides great light. The arms are not perfectly straight and the lenses don't all sit properly on their bases but it is so high up that no one can tell from the first floor. You do notice the imperfections from the second floor, but we are the only ones that go up there. So, for the price, it is a pretty chandelier, fills in the space well and looks like it costs a great deal more.

After checking out stores in my area and just not willing to fork out $1000 for a new entry chandelier I read the reviews on this particular light and decided to go for it. i am so glad I did! It looks beautiful and is massively gorgeous for our two story entry. Could not have done better and I highly recommend. It was shipped on time, well packed and had complete instructions on how to unpack safely. Weighed over 50 lbs and free shipping? Wonderful!

The instructions are terrible. We had to use a black sharpie to fix dings all over the chandlier. Then we get it installed and we find out we are missing a piece for one globe. We contact Maxim and they said we have to go thru Amazon. We contact Amazon and they say we have to go thru Maxim. Amazon did finally say they would ship an entire new chandelier; but then we have to return the chandelier (missing the one 2 oz part we need). Is this not the most ridiculous thing you have ever heard? Also looking up from the 1st floor, it looks ok. We have a 2 story foyer. When we are on our landing looking down at the chandelier, it looks terrible. Each tier is not level no matter what my husband tries to do. He wanted to get a more expensive chandelier and keeps rubbing it in...you get what you pay for. Cheaply made.

The chandelier came damaged in the package. I had to repaint parts of it because they were flaking off. The main stem is bent. The globes do not sit right in the light cups. It does work and provides nice light in our 2 story foyer but overall you get what you pay for and would recommend not buying this light. Buyer beware.
