I love the variety these books provide! Some of them are a bit tricky (though they do have varying levels in the stack of books and I'm currently working on a more advanced one) but I'm getting better every time I do more of the same type of puzzle, so I think it truly does work your brain out! The only negative I have is that I am starting to get sciatica and bursitis of the neck from sitting too long on the pot because I never want to stop lol. (But seriously...I had to do some PT and my doc helped me figure out it was from sitting too long hunched over these puzzle books, so now I make sure to do them off the pot in a more ergonomic chair) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wide variety *by L***S on November 15, 2024* I really appreciate the variety of puzzles in each book. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So, so fun!! *by S***R on October 9, 2024* I have always been a nut for word puzzles, always, but as an adult, I felt like doing crosswords and other word games was taking time away from more “important” things. Boy, was I wrong, as the pandemic proved time and again! It was during the pandemic that I realized how much the isolation and depression of it all had damaged my concentration, brain function, and especially my language skills. Suddenly, I had all the time in the world to enjoy this guilty pleasure and I really took advantage of it. The problem was that these puzzle books, which you can usually get at drugstores and groceries, can be pricey and often ran between $6 for the average one and $10+ for the special editions! That’s a piece! But while I was cruising through Amazon one day, I discovered that I could buy them in bundles of 6 or more for a fraction of their regular cost!! Yes, everybody’s favorite retailer (well, my favorite retail anyway) had come to save the day again! So now I get them six at a time for a pittance compared to what the cost would be if I bought them individually in the drugstore. These are exactly the same books, exactly the same quality, just a fraction of what they would be out in the world. I can’t tell you how I giggled when I got my first bundle! It was like Christmas morning! I immediately grabbed the top one and with my ever handy Bic mechanical pencil, I started working on the first puzzle I could find and continued for the next several happy hours! It was so great! Such a fun guilty pleasure and so good for my brain and my psyche, which had really taken a hit during the crisis. Because I’m using words and problem-solving, I’m strengthening my brain, while uis great for keeping my 60+ brain strong. I truly have noticed a big difference in my acuity, in my memory and language skills, in my vocabulary and in just my enjoyment of life. So if you have a love of puzzles like me, or perhaps have a friend who’s in need of a bit of sharpening up, these are for you! Better yet, these would be great for teenagers and up, although at first they will balk at the idea of something not on their phones. But persevere and you’ll see how quickly the various types of puzzles will grab their attention and soon you won’t be able to find one for your own use! I truly think you will be pleased with the quality of these Dell puzzle books or I wouldn’t support them as much. I love the variety of the puzzles found in each book, too, and have my absolute favorite kind, which is the flower power puzzles, and I will find one right away to work on. These puzzle books are a great way to keep your mind and your language skills sharp, plus they’re just darn fun!
