I am an old, short fat guy: 5'6" and 275 with a 54" waist. I bought this in a 3x, and it fit almost perfectly and then I washed it in cold water and hung it up to dry after 5 minutes in the dryer on low. It shrank significantly so I returned it and got a 4x. Washed it and it also shrunk which I was counting on. I am having the sleeves shortened now and I know it will become one of my favorite shirts. I wore it around the house for a day with the sleeves rolled up and absolutely love the look. It looks even better in person. I will note that for me the length was not too long and I'm only 5'6", so on a taller person you might find it a bit short. I guess it was designed to be worn untucked. The material is a medium thickness and very soft and cozy. It's a flannel shirt so it's warm, but I don't think it will be too warm. I like it so much that I ordered the light blue plaid on the off-white background. So, I'm a fan.
