The Strimmer cut through brambles with ease and had no trouble with my overgrown tussocky grass. It is light enough to hold in a comfortable position and it was a joy to not have a cable trailing behind. I'll need a bit more practice with the wire trimmer head used for weeding between pavers as it spits up mud like a trail bike but that's probably more a testament to the state of my overgrown garden than the machine itself. I didn't run out of battery in the time I was using it (10m sq - very overgrown) and since the strimmer came with two batteries, my unfit self ran out of juice before it did. It was easy to put together but I found the strong plastic needs a bit of muscle power to click into position. All in all ideal for people with small-medium gardens who don't need a heavy duty brush cutter. Review: Briliant - For 20 minutes, then became unusable - This was easy to put together, and I was really impressed with this for the money, cutting easily though brambles and weeds. However still on the first battery, the head started flopping to the side. There is a button on the top of the strimmer head which allows it to be adjusted to different angles, but was no longer holding the head in a fixed position. I could feel it clicking as turned, but was no catching enough to secure it.
