There is an interval when you insert the plug that one circuit—the one to ground—isn’t connected. It’s momentary. You should ALWAYS PLUG IN BEFORE turning the amp on. Now, if it continues to buzz after the cable is fully plugged in, try another cable. If the buzzing stops, that first cable has a broken connection on the ground side. This is generally caused by the leads inside the plug breaking off where they’re soldered. Unscrew the plug at both ends and check for loose, unattached wires. If you find one, re-solder it. If no broken connections are found, the break is somewhere inside the cable. Unsolder and keep the plugs and toss the cable. If after inserting a second cable, the buzzing continues, the problem is inside the amp circuitry. Return it, or toss it and get a better one next time. **Q: This keeps coming up as a bass amp.
