It smelled like chemicals when I opened the package. I put it in the washer fully expecting the glitter to come off everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised that I did not have glitter everywhere, the chemical smell was gone and both the skirt and onesie held up in the washer and dryer. As other reviews stated, the skirt was long, but it was perfect for taking seated photos! Looked great in our daughter's birthday pictures!
