This blocks the heart sensors that determine heart rate, blood pressure, etc. I wear mine in such a way that only one layer of band separates my skin from the watch. This helps prevent skin irritation and keeps the bottom of the watch cleaner. The downside is that the watch band needs to be partially removed from the watch for charging. This unusually attractive nylon band is relatively thick compared to other single strap (NATO) type bands, but is still surprisingly flexible. I don't care for the metal keepers. I prefer cloth keepers. Pros: -very attractive. -flexible for the thickness. -easy to install. Cons: -unnecessarily long for my wrist. The excess must be folded over and stuffed into a keeper. -not as flexible as other, thinner bands. -metal keepers instead of cloth ones. Smooth nylon weave, better than inexpensive ones which can get scratchy. Good hardware. The ribbed pattern is nice and adds some texture/interest. This grey strap is almost silver/shimmering.
