It is actually darker than the image online which is a good thing not bad. Needs a good shirt, I used a Tommy Bahamas Flannel, in a blue or aqua color and good jeans to allow it to pop! Many compliments when I wear it. Comfortable and good looking. Fits as it should ... so order your normal size. A quick trip to the alteration lady and $15 later, the vest fits very well and is quite stylish. Jeez, I might be a few pounds overweight, but I don't have this button problem with my knit sweaters!So when I saw this very reasonably priced all-suede vest with SNAP BUTTONS, I figured the latter should solve my button problem once and for all.The large-size vest fits me perfectly (I'm a 42 short), and it looks great. There are two outside front pockets and one inside pocket on the left side as you're wearing it.The leather is a little lighter in weight than my previous vest, but that's okay -- it's supple and brings some warmth without bulk.I have deducted one star, however, for the intense leather smell. I've been wearing the vest for several weeks now, and the pungent odor persists. A friend of mine even commented on it -- "What's that smell?"Currently, I am hoping another customer can give me some advice on how to mitigate the odor.
