They are highly pigmented watercolour paints. They have been reviewed on you tube by professional artists who rate them highly and were amazed at the price for such artist quality paints. I love them. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really lovely to work with *by A***R on 18 February 2024* I bought these paints having not long since got back into watercolour painting. The original paints I tried to start with were far too cheap and were chalky, wouldn't mix on the paper and cracked into dust when they dried. So coming from that background, I wanted a better quality set and found this set with excellent reviews and competitively priced.What can I say? They are delightful to use, creamy and silky on the brush, melt together beautifully on the paper and dry perfectly. The colours are very rich and deeply pigmented so you only use a little. While I'm no expert, I can say I'm thoroughly enjoying using them and would highly recommend them. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ To my surprise, really good product *by M***T on 6 March 2019* I'll start off by saying, I'm not a beginner watercolourist, I've been painting with this medium for years, but as a hobby, i enjoy adult colouring books, some take watercolour really well, Hannah Karlzon books in particular. When I'm messing around for my own enjoyment, I didn't want to use my professional grade watercolours, so i took a chance and bought these, not knowing anything about them, and i have to say how utterly impressed i am with them. The choice of colours is varied and good, the paints themselves are bright and vibrant and don't lose that vibrancy upon drying. I can't believe how highly pigmented they are, and they don't dry chalky either. just a sweep with your brush over your chosen colour and your brush is loaded with paint, no scrubbing for ages to pick up the colour. I actually have a few Winsor and Newton half pans that lack the intensity of colour that these paints have, and they're professional artist grade at £5 per half pan. Admittedly, I've only used these in colouring books when I'm relaxing, but I'll be testing them out to do a larger scenic piece. I don't know how lightfast they are, there's not a lot of info included. This set came with a pre written swatch card, which i found handy. The box lists all the colours, but it's wrong. The swatch card inside is thankfully correct though. The tin is as well made as a more expensive brand, and i like the simplicity of it. It's also a nice blue colour which is more cheerful than the usual black.
