The bevel for the lock nut isn't deep enough to allow the gear to slide far enough on. On aftermarket motors these should work perfectly. Aluminum is softer than hardened steel and it will chew these up for breakfast. Great product but I had not realized they were super soft aluminum for some reason and put them with my hardened steel spur in my rustler 4x4 and it chewed them up and spat them out!
