The base is attached to the car using a crew from the spoiler. The plate bracket part slides into the mounted base. Great product you’ll like it. **Q: would you also recommend this model for a Honda S2000? If not, which one?** A: Generally it’s a very well made item. Excellent tolerances. It was easy to install. You will have to check and see if they make a model for your Honda. **Q: can you center this product on the corvette bumper** A: I have a 2012 GS. This bracket can be placed anywhere there is a bolt that fastens the valence to the front bumper. Just unscrew a bolt that attaches the valence to the bumper, screw the bolt back in with the bracket and it's done. I placed mine off the left side to take advantage of the air flow to my CAI. Very easy to install and convenient when washing the car. Just pull on the ring and remove. Very easy to install and it looks great. Before this product I had another bracket on. After 10 years it deteriorated. Tried replacement double sided adhesive tape. Even the best rated did not work. Did not wand to drill holes in the body work to mount the front license plate ( required in my state ). This was an alternative. Another person mentioned buying lowes drywall toggle anchors to help give extra support, which is easy to add to make it extra secure. I didn’t receive the rubber gasket that goes in between the bumper valance and aluminum mount, but not a dealbreaker. I’m glad this kit included all license plate & mounting hardware. Mine Just arrived as of today 02/25/22. Only one I could find at Lowes was part of a Drywall anchor kit (see photo), but it worked perfectly.
