Star Trek Costume Cotton Female Duty Uniform Red

I ordered this Star Trek uniform to wear to the Star Trek convention, so it has to be spot on. The color is the right deep red, the fabric a nice quality cotton blend. The craftsmanship is good with solid stitching. The Starfleet insignia and officers braiding on the sleeves is not the refined metallic of the original but it will do for a costume. I have the original patches, and will be replacing them for the convention. It came a bit long, so I can hem it to my desired length. The only real problem I have with the construction of this uniform is the collar. It is very tight, almost like a turtle neck as opposed to the loose cowl type neckline of the original. I will be altering that too. It is my understanding that each costume is tailored individually, so each will be a little different. And considering this came from China, it arrived very quickly. I am pleased overall.UPDATE: I wore the costume to the convention and it was a huge hit. It looked more authentic than the $300+ costumes there. They had the a/c set on Arctic at the con so it was freezing, but I was nice and toasty in my uniform. And even though we had to do LOTS of walking, the fabric breathed enough that I didnt get TOO warm even when I went out into the Las Vegas summer. It was soft and very comfortable. I received this very quickly! I ordered it on August 14th and received it today, on September 1st. I sent my measurements after ordering the uniform and got a very prompt reply that said that they received the message. I am tall (5' 9") and have a big chest, so I was concerned that it wouldn't be large enough or long enough. I didn't need to worry! It could come in a little bit at the waist and the sleeves could be just a tiny bit longer, but it's nearly perfect. The side zipper works beautifully and the fabric is good, heavy quality. It is long enough and loose enough that I can wear it to my office Halloween party without looking inappropriate. I couldn't be happier! Identity concealed because of my messy bedroom.

I bought a small based on the sizing information (chest 34). I'm 5'7, 140 lbs and it was entirely too tight across the chest and arms. I ordered a Medium hoping it will fit better. Otherwise, the quality is excellent!!Update: when I tried to return the small (to Hoodiesky)I received an email that said I should "think twice" before returning it because I would have to pay shipping costs and I would not get the refund until I sent it back. Of course, I was not expecting to get a refund until they received it, but the "think twice" remark makes me question whether they will refund the money even when I do send it. Also, my invoice listed the costume as costing $25. When I bought it through Amazon, I paid $99. The medium I ordered cost $79 as listed and it appears to be from a different 3rd party seller (unless Hoodiesky changed their name). The medium fits perfectly and the quality is unquestionably good - hence the three stars. But the problems with returning the ill-fitting size (especially since I based my purchase on the size chart) warrants at least a two-star deduction.

This uniform fit so well. I got many compliments for my cosplay of Uhura. I was hesitant about wearing it at first but I remembered that Gene Roddenberry intended for all of his costumes to fit as if they were molded to the body. It did not require any additional alterations. I bought two.

I was able to contact the seller and have a custom sized item made. The date of delivery was between September 15 and October 1 but, I received it today (August 26).I ordered it for Halloween. My boyfriend, best friend, and myself have started a tradition of showing trick-or-treaters views of the moon and such through telescopes...as well as giving out candy. Last year we did it as Calvin & Hobbes and it was a BLAST! We decided that Star Trek was a good theme for this year. :)I had read good reviews on here so, I wanted to add mine.The fabric is a medium/thick cotton but is soft and easy to move in. The fit is exactly what I was hoping for and I have attached photos. Sending in my measurements was easy and I feel they got it spot on!Thank you firecos!

I was scared of buying a made to order uniform but this seller nailed it. this costume was everything i wanted and it got here quick enough for me to wear it to otakon where it was a big hit! only thing is it was a little too short for me since i am rather bottom heavy but nonetheless it was still perfect.

When I sent the company sizing info for personalizing as discussed in the specs, they promptly replied back via email that they don't customize. When I replied, pointing out that the specs say they do, they apologized, stated they would change the specs (didn't check to see if they actually have), and that if it didn't fit I could return it and they would in fact customize one. However, it fits perfectly - I'm 5'3" so the skirt might be a bit longer than some would want but I'm happy w/ it, and the medium fits the rest of my 135 lbs spot on. Looking forward to wearing it for Halloween!

The quality and make are top notch. I bought this years ago and came back to buy again to get a different size. Definitely will buy if it comes back in stock.
