Review: Great little personal plow - Great little personal snow plow as long as you understand its limitations. One of the big pluses (and minuses) of the plow is that you can't backblade, but that allows you to reposition your vehicle for the next pass without the need to change anything. So without backblade capability, you have to look at the area you want to plow and determine where you are going to be able to push the snow, and realize there will probably be a small area you can't plow (like where you start the truck from in front of your garage). For me this works out well enough, and the price and weight savings of not having to have a 'real' plow setup really makes it worth its cost. I have a gravel driveway and if I used a regular plow, most of my gravel would be in the ditch by the end of the season. It still pushes the loosest stuff of the top when plowing, but even my two stage snowblower tended to pickup and throw the loosest stuff. The other big limitations is this is a personal plow, I doubt it would last if you pushed it by trying to do too much with it. I took it out on to a partiallly plowed street, to clear the area in front of my mailbox, and it was a little chattery on the partially cleared pavement. Since my gravel driveway isn't perfectly level, it will leave some snow in the low spots, but for me, that is better than pushing all the gravel in the ditch. Also there is a strap you can buy (or make one) to help hold down the plow if you need to 'scrape' harder, but I think it won't be super effective at removing ice on a cement or asphalt surface. I have seen videos of people using these on the rear trailer hitch, and it seems to work well in that direction too, but I think you would get tired of trying to do it all over your shoulder or in your mirrors. Mine is mounted on a half ton crew cab tundra, and it does fine, but the huge length of the truck does limit some of the maneuverability in a narrow driveway. From a maneuverability stand point, it probably would have been better on my Xterra. When i first got the plow it was warmer but with some left over snow in parts of the driveway. So in the process of testing it out, I basically was using it in a muddy area where the snow mas melting. It did make some grooves in the muddy area so I would be careful in the mud as you could tear it up a bit. I assume you could get stuck with the plow on. on a decent snow storm, I was pushing snow into the ditch off my driveway which has a bit of a lip. I went over the lip with my front tires aways to make sure the snow was deep enough in the ditch that if it snowed again in a week i wouldnt be running into an iceburg from this snow when plowing again. Even in 4wd I could feel that tiny bit of extra weight and drag from back dragging the blade seemed to make a difference when trying to back out. I am glad I had some sandbags in the back of the truck to make sure the rear tires had a little more weight on them. If you are in an area that gets tons of ice on the driveway, you may need to get a set of chains too, which seems overkill for a driveway I can plow in less than 10 minutes, but it might be better than trying to get you truck unstuck once or twice per plow session. My only gripes are that when you want to move the plow from stowed, to down I have to usually have give the top of the plow a bit of a push with my knee to get it to move back far enough on the balance point to get it to drop down. That and if you have a bigger truck, the poles at the end need to be longer to be able to see them. I can only see the top inch or two of the pole marker on the drivers side when plowing and not at all when dragging backwards. I duct taped on some longer snow poles onto the existing poles so that hopefully next time I can see both markers when using it. I haven't had one of the really heavy wet snows that we usually get in the spring yet. I assume that if its really getting alot of accumulation of that kind of snow, then plowing multiple times during the snowfall will probably be better than waiting till its all over and very deep. This was true of the snowblower too, but much more miserable to be snowblowing in the dark during a snowstorm.
Review: Hard to put together without impact tools. Works great with one exception. - I didn't like the drilling and putting the self tapping bolts through using only a large ratchet. (Worked and they did say you would need an impact wrench so no stars lost.) Works super well to clear snow. The lower rubber area of the plow does float over curbs and grass. Makes it much easier than a solid plow. I live in MN. Lots of snow. Sometimes deep snow. I use a Lincon Aviator with backup camera. When the snow gets too tall behind the Aviator such that the snow is above the camera (the snow plies up well and gets taller as you push it backwards), I put the seats down and open the backdoor and can see the plow and snow just fine looking over my shoulder. I have a large parking area and two long driveways. Does not pull snow backwards when backing. This is a feature and works for most areas. But I do have some corners in my plowed area that this plow simply cannot do because of this. The piles of snow would end up in front of my garage door, or blocking a path. So for these areas I must still pull out the snow blower. But now snow blowing time is reduced from over three hours (I have the largest snow blower that Toro makes) to now less than 30 minutes on the blower, and less than an hour plowing. Much much better than only snow blowing. And as I get better plowing in reverse, should be less than 30 minutes for plowing and less than 15 minutes for snow blowing.

## Features

- Snow Plow Compatibility: Most aftermarket bumpers are not compatible with snowplows; they often use the same mounting points as plow frams, and compatibility is unconfirmed and would require custom modifications
- Hassle-Free Use: No more hassling with shovels or snow blowers in the cold, now you can plow from the comfort of your heated truck or SUV and clear snow in less than half the time with a Snowsport HD Utility Plow
- Heavy-Duty Plow: Heavy-duty construction of the snow plow allows for plowing in the most demanding conditions; easily attaches to your vehicle with a front or rear mount
- Plow Package Kit: Includes Aluminum Blade, Push Frame, Hardware Kit, Angling Interceptor; the 2" Model Specific Front Mount is required (Sold Separately)
- Snow Plow Note: Requires 8"-16" clearance from the bottom of the receiver to level ground; lift kits or oversized tires may affect proper fit and operation of utility plows

## Questions & Answers

**Q: can this plow can be put on 2006 F250 super duty**
A: I use mine on both a 2015 F350 front mount and on my 2017 Honda Pioneer rear mount. If your 2 inch reciever hitch is anywhere from 8 to 16 inches from the ground it should work. It attaches via your existing reciever.

**Q: Will this fit 1989 Toyota pickup ?**
A: If they make a receiver hitch for your truck it should. The plow has a hitch like any trailer that is for a receiver style hitch. Just slide it in, put the pin and cotter pin in and your good to go. Mine is mounted to a 2003 1/2 ton Chev Silverado. I was a little uncertain about the plows ability to handle significant snow. I live in Minnesota. My driveway is only 1 lane wide except at the garage entrance but 150 feet long with a turn round near the street. I've had no problems plowing the driveway. I even did my neighbors which is about 600 feet and it handled it fine. Note though, none of our snowfalls this year was over 8".

**Q: Can this be used to pull snow?**
A: It’s meant for pushing not pulling

**Q: Ok, after reading several reviews, does this come with ALL that i need to start plowing? Angle interceptor? I already have the 2 in. Receiver.**
A: I purchased mine on the secondary market, but do think yes.. You should ask the seller to be certain.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good plow for pushing fresh snow
*by M***E on January 18, 2025*

Fast shipping- it shipped the same day I ordered it and arrived 2 days later. It came in 4 boxes. You don’t have to sign for it like the email says you do. The product description is also very confusing. It says the hitch/mount is included and a few sentences later it says you have to purchase it separately. Ours came with the hitch/mount. It is easy to put together if you have power tools. It isn’t a good dig and scrape type of plow but pushes fresh powder very well! You can only push forward with this plow - can’t use it to pull snow. If your truck is lifted any, the plow won’t touch the ground. We had to put it on a different truck than planned.
