So far they exceeded my expectations. I needed to replace some Microns and Prismacolors when I came across these. The color is a nice, deep black. They do not smudge when dry, I have poured water over them to see if they bleed or run (since I will be using them with watercolors) and the lines stayed put and just as crisp/bold. I'll have to update after I've had a chance to really use them, but so far so great. My 0.8 pen came a little bent on the nib, but it works perfectly fine so I'm not bothered by it at all. The pens are beautifully pigmented and are waterproof. When water is put on them, they do pick up the slightest bit of ink, but your lines stay put, even under heavy splashes of water. I use them with my alcohol markers and they work perfectly! If I put marker over it right after I put the line down I get the tiniest amount of bleeding/feathering but otherwise it’s amazing and if I wait for it to dry everything’s fine. A dollar a pen is a great deal and they are similar quality to most other fine liners I’ve used (prisma color, micron, pitt artist pens). Not to mention this is just an amazing size range!
