I believe my 2yr old granddaughter could do these. Bought this kit for my pretty experienced with crafts, 5yr old granddaughter & she was quickly bored. Choose if you want a very simple, non-messy, non-dangerous kit, that is almost foolproof... This is it! Excellent for beginners. Could use better English language directions. Just remember the WHOLE surface of the picture is peel & stick. You can peel away as much or as little of the picture, as desired, to apply the included supplies, to make a sort of collage picture. For a beginner, I would suggest following the pictures on the box as a guide, to the best of your ability. The adhesive is surprisingly strong! YOU can use an exacto knife or such, to remove an area of the "surface picture" your child points out to you, for removal, for safeties sake. Then let the child add bits of newspaper, craft paper, buttons, pom-poms, bows, cereal, glitter or whatever to make the collage personal. There are plenty of supplies & add more if you choose. Have fun. Good adult-child activity that requires minimal input from the adult. So if you're overseeing several kids of different ages it's easily managed. Be a little cautious, as the whole picture can be peeled off accidentally. The whole surface under the picture is adhesive. So even if you peel it all off, just cover it with supplies to make a collage.
