The book came unscathed - no bends or tears. Review: More bedtime routine than battle. - Based on the cover, I thought it was about teaching kids to not to fight and argue about going to sleep and the kids coming up with excuses to stay up later. SPOILER: It slightly goes into that but the main story is just the parents getting the kids ready for bed (brush teeth, bath, clean up toys, etc) and it has a weird ending with the last two pages the parents falling asleep and the kids reading their books quietly in bed. I was hoping it would teach the kids to not fuss and fight and argue and maybe it does slightly but not so much that a young kid is going to pick up on it. It also includes bedtime routine stuff we don’t do like having a bath every single night. The book really wasn’t a battle, I was expecting a battle like most parents do of kids wanting a snack and other stuff to delay going to bed. This “battle” was probably the best day you’ll have of getting your kids to bed. I think its still a book worth reading to your kids to get them into the routine.
